From my first workout with Angela, I was hooked.  I’ve had a lot of injuries over the years that have resulted in limitations that prevent me from doing some exercises.  Instead of telling me to just push through it or to skip parts of the workout, Angela always finds an alternative way for me to work the muscle group without pain or risk of further injury.  Her willingness to find what works for my body has not only let me strengthen muscles that I haven’t been able to work for years, but it has given me a great sense of empowerment that I CAN be strong.  
I have attended both the regular workout sessions (core cardio class) and boot camp.  The actual workouts are very similar, but I really enjoy the greater sense of camaraderie that comes from the boot camp experience.  All of the trainers at BIF really know their stuff and work to keep a very positive atmosphere.  I would encourage anyone looking for more variety in workouts and some extra motivation to give BIF a try – you won’t regret it! ~ Deborah Foster    

 

I work full-time and need the "appointment work-out" to get out of the office - I've been working out with private trainers off and on over the past 10 years - but doing the bootcamp is so much more fun and I'm getting better results!  Angela and her team push us all to work hard yet make sure that everyone works out at his/her own level.  I love how they mix up the venues (beach, stairs, studio) and mix up the routines.  Definitely recommend    - Liz Jones

 

 When I had first started Body Inspired Fitness' bootcamp, I was 30 pounds overwieght, and had tried and failed numerous gym memberships.  Body Inspired was different-- more energizing, more fun, and the teachers really know what they are doing to maximize a workout. There is also a broad variety of workouts that keeps it very interesting  (most workouts are outside-- they mix it up to be sports cardio, or strengthening or a focus on trouble spots or even pilates)    They also work with you to set goals, establish a food plan and a program that will work for you and your body.  I lost 30 pounds in 4 months, and it is now 18 months later, and I have kept the weight off.  What's more important, I feel better and stronger.  My friend asked me to join her for boot camp and I did not know what I was getting myself into. I am so glad that I joined!!! It has been a great experience!!! The trainers make working out fun, they change it up so that the workouts are always different and I have really noticed results. The trainers are very supportive and push you, but in a good way. I was surprised by some of the things I was able to do! Also, the women in the classes are nice and supportive as well. I'm gonna cut to the chase - my butt is higher and firmer (even my kids noticed), my abs are flat (I don't have a six-pack yet, but I think I'm seeing a two-pack), I feel better and stronger than I have in years and I actually look forward to working out. It's more effective and enjoyable than any gym or trainer I've ever worked with and, living in the Palisades, it's so blissfully convenient. It's simply just what you're looking for - the trainers are just the right amount of tough, it's challenging but doable, every workout is different and the women are all nice and there for the same reason you are - to work out hard and head home feeling great. -Suzanne Martin

Body Inspired Fitness boot camp is a better choice than a gym because Angela Parker and her team of trainers sincerely want to help. They are professional individuals who truly care about getting you into the healthiest and most fit you possibly can! Body Inspired Fitness boot camp women only classes are great for those of us who feel intimidated by a gym. Outdoor workouts are better than a gym because nothing beats doing crunches while looking up at the beautiful sky rather than an icky water-stained drop ceiling! I’ve been doing the Body Inspired Fitness bootcamp for about 7 months and I love it! Not only have I lost weight but I feel stronger and have much more endurance than when I first started. The best part is I truly look forward to working out! Unlike when I belonged to a gym… I never dread these workout sessions. Being outdoors is a huge motivation. I work in an office all day long, so the last thing I want to do is go to a place with fluorescent lights and air conditioning. The trainers are all fantastic and push you in a very positive, healthy way. They are so NOT in your face (which would put me right back on the couch!). Their workouts are always challenging but different, so I don’t feel stagnate EVER! And again, I can see my results… and isn’t that the point of all this?! :) Jenny Schmidt

"Angela Parker's Body Inspired Fitness is Fantastic! I enjoy working out, so making time for fitness had never been a problem. My problem was doing the same thing for way too long - 45 minutes to an hour on the elliptical and 1/2 hour of strength training 5 to 6 days a week, for well over 5 years. Last May, I had been complaining to girls on my soccer team about the monotony of my workouts. I was not enjoying my time at the gym nor was I achieving the look that I wanted. So, when one of them shared her Boot Camp experience, I knew that this was the change I needed. After my first camp, I was hooked!

I am finishing up my 5th camp and can't be happier with the results! I have lost both weight and inches, which means my jeans fit better and I am more comfortable in my clothes. I attribute my success to the variety of classes (pilates/ballet body, cardio/core, circuit training, yoga, glider class), the locations of the workouts (on the grass, at the beach, at the stairs in Santa Monica) times of the classes (5:30AM, 7:15 AM, 8:30 AM, 6:00PM), and the teaching style of the trainers. Each class is equally challenging, but unique, so your body never has a chance to plateau. Body Inspired Fitness offers a flexible schedule allowing me to juggle work, socializing and working out without feeling guilty. I love the variety of workouts. “If you are in doubt about joining this Boot Camp, don't hesitate! I was nervous to join, but discovered that it is one of the best things I have ever done. There are ladies participating of all fitness levels and you can really go at your own pace, whether you are super fit or a novice athletes like me. I have an extremely busy job, and needed to find a workout with a schedule to force me out of the office. I look forward to going every day. The workouts are interesting and varied, and every single instructor is really nice and very encouraging. “For years I had been nervous joining a "boot camp"...I have never liked being pressured by a trainer and that is why I have stayed away from boot camps.  When my "fat jeans" started becoming tight, I became fed up and called angela about her boot camp.  She assured me it was a "go at your own pace and there are a variety of fitness levels in each session". So, I went and I was SO HAPPY to find that the instructors encourage you to push beyond your comfort zone, but if you can only do that 1 more push up or jog for 1 more second, that is great and thy don't pressure or yell at you to do more than you can do. Also, I am not much of a gym girl and working out at either the beach or park (depending on which camp you sign up for) is so amazing!! Time flies, I've met really nice, non-judgemental women, and my "fat jeans" are less tight! :) I'm signed up forever! I signed up for m-w-f session and walk or dance tues/thurs/sat if I can. I promise you that you will LOVE the program angela has created.  Its a loving, supportive, non-judgemental workout!”

“I love boot camp for so many reasons. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, (just like anything new) but immediately I began to see results and looking forward to the next session. I have not only lost inches and body fat but my physical fitness level has improved as well. I am someone who already works out on my own, so that's not an issue for me, but with the boot camp I get to work muscles (with the weights) and do more AB workouts than I would ever do alone. “I had a nagging feeling throughout my third pregnancy that the additional pregnancy weight gained was going to be difficult to shift this time around. I was right .... until I started Palisades Boot Camp. I started at 8 weeks post baby . "Too Soon" screamed my friends. "Perfect timing" said my doctor. "Welcome and lets kick butt" said Angela and her fabulous team. The trainers encourage and nurture on a consistent basis and you never feel like they are being conceited about it. Believe me their workouts will help you quickly gain fitness, trim pounds and inches and importantly take a sensible approach. They are clear and concise with all explanations, they will challenge you physically and mentally but perhaps the best thing about the camp has been regaining self esteem, getting my groove back and knowing that the boundaries of today will be hurdles well jumped next week. "I hate exercising, but I have two kids I adore and want to be a fit grandparent when they have kids. Not to mention this summer's mid-forties weight gain. The great thing about this program is that it's outside, at night (they do have morning classes too) and so far no two classes have been the same. They rotate the parts of the body that get attention, they rotate trainers (all of them are awesome in their own way) and they rotate the exercises. The attendees also mix it up. I've lost weight and inches. Built muscle and feel stronger/healthier. I usually get bored of exercise classes or routines, but this is always different and the outside venue is terrific."
